Abstract

Islamic boarding schools, or pondok pesantren, are educational institutions that emphasize not only religious teachings but also character development through a disciplined dormitory life. In line with the changing times, many modern pesantren have begun integrating general education curricula and utilizing technology to meet the challenges of the digital era. Pondok Pesantren Idris, established by Yayasan Al Idris Kepri, is one example of this transformation, aligning religious and general education while introducing technology-based extracurricular activities. This transformation is a response to society’s growing demand for comprehensive education, without abandoning the traditional values of pesantren. In the context of digitalization, digital content creation has become one of the essential skills that students (santri) need to master. Proficiency in digital content creation—which includes the ability to produce, edit, and publish relevant material across various digital platforms—serves as a crucial asset for supporting Islamic preaching (dakwah), education, and personal development in the modern era.
